Account & Sync
Guest mode
TANA works fully without an account. When you first open the app, you start in guest mode — all your data is stored locally on your device. No sign-up required.
Signing in
You can sign in with your Apple ID or Google account at any time from the Settings tab. Signing in enables cloud backup and sync across devices.
Data preservation
When you sign in after using the app as a guest, all your existing data is preserved and linked to your new account. Nothing is lost.
Cloud sync
Once signed in, your data automatically syncs to the cloud. A small sync indicator appears in the Now section header showing whether your data is up to date.
Signing out
Signing out starts a fresh guest session on your device. Your cloud data remains safely stored and will be available when you sign back in.
